Vera Belikova is coming to the Glassy Eyed Mosaic studio Wednesday, April 15-Sunday, April 19. Vera is a Spilimbergo-trained artist now based in Venice, Italy and has taken part in numerous international exhibitions and residencies. She is best known for her focus on color theory and will take her guests through the process of creating optical color mixtures and transitioning from one color to another during her hands-on workshop. Michelle Sider, known for her signature approach to creating luminous, textural landscape mosaics using stained glass and smalti, will lead a workshop in the Glassy Eyed Mosaics studio, May 1-4 in Nashville. Michelle will guide students step-by-step through color, value, andamento, and placement using an 8x8 substrate for your project. You'll leave the workshop with a better understanding of texture in mosaics and techniques for creating depth and dimension.
